23 minutes into my birthday. After getting home from work, I went to Orsey's for Karaoke Night. Immediately, I signed up to sing "Jambalaya on the Bayou". Then Mitch, Jen, Jen, and Dana sang "Yer Birthday" to me. They were very good. We all went to the Sangria party at Cynthia's next. Later, I went back to Orsey's and sang "It's Still Rock-n-Roll to Me" by Billy Joel. I got an encore, and people used hula-hoops. Mitch sang "I want your sex" very memorably. We danced and sang at the party again. At 03:30. I went home.

I've just ridden in on the BMW K75 the long way to work, along highway 52 after dropping off the new 2005 VW Golf TDI a few blocks from our house at the Auto in Spring Grove. It is a beautiful day, and as I stopped for gas in Mabel, I realized that I get better fuel economy on the diesel car than I get on the motorcycle, and 93 octane fuel for the bike costs the same as diesel right now. Oh well, the bike is fun, and can get up to 50 on really long trips. I believe the car could only get 46 mpg max.

It is my birthday, and I woke Rachel up to make me toast with jam, yogurt with candy fruit, real blueberries, and gummy turtles this morning for breakfast. I'm meeting my niece Katie soon for an early Birthday lunch (we share the same birthday, though I have 29 years on her.) Tonight I will meet Rachel at the Houston County fair, where she is playing for some of her students competing for a vocal blue ribbons and such. We will then ride the ferris wheel and play corn bingo.
